Jesus rules

I am going over the ot and what it said about Jesus.  Think of it like this.  What if King James wrote the book of shadow and in it James predicted everything about the killing of JFK.  Now James knew nothing about JFK and never knew but God told him the town and he would be shot and maybe JFK would be born here and so on.  Well this is what the old said about Jesus.  Note to you who think the bible is made up.  HUH you are not close.  It is because you do not get it.  It is a God Given book where you need Jesus to be in you to get it.
ISA “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.”

PS “I have made a covenant with My chosen,
I have sworn to My servant David:
‘Your seed I will establish forever,
And build up your throne to all generations.’ ”

Jesus is the server.  He is the elect one who God delights in and we ought to delight in Jesus because Jesus is the chosen One of God.  Jesus is going to rule forever and all judgement is going to be his.  All who ever exist are going to give account for what they did with Jesus as he is going to be the ruler of all man.  David had this promise and it is true.

ISA For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform
Unto us Jesus is given,  and the government is on HIM.  All rule one day is going to be His.  He is a wonderful counselor.  Jesus is there for you to talk to at all times if you you Love him.  We are to cast all our cares on Jesus because Jesus loves and cares for you.  Jesus  said not to worry about anything but to pray about everything,  And we go to the shrink, Jesus is the best there is.  He knows you like no one else and cares more than all combined.  He is God.  In the flesh Jesus does anything God does and Loves you.  A fathers or pa pa.  Jesus longs to be your daddy and care for all your needs and some wants plus Jesus is going to bring peace to all people.   Only Jesus can stop all wars and brings peace to you in the worst times.

ROM which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh. ISA The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, [1]the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name [2]Immanuel.
Seed of David  Someone in the line of David.  Born  to a Virgin.  Name anyone who was born with no male.  Jesus is the only one I know off.

ZECH Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and[3] riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.
Palm Sunday.  Jesus rode a donkey into the city.  A humble man who is a king.

ISA Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high. PS The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

Jesus is now in heaven and all will bow to him as king,  All the sinners who do not take Jesus are going to be placed in hell.

DAN Behold, One like [4]the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.
PS Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. [5]Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. ACTS It is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.
He has not come in the clouds but he is going to.  Jesus is going to come and dominate all and Jesus is going to forever king of the lands.  All are going to serve Jesus in the end.  Jesus is going to rule for 1000 years on earth a kingdom that is perfect.  Jesus is going to be king and the earth is going to be perfect.  But even then some are not going to serve but reject.

[1] the virgin. This prophecy reached forward to the virgin birth of the Messiah, as the NT notes (Matt. 1:23). The Hebrew word refers to an unmarried woman and means “virgin” (Gen. 24:43; Prov 30:19; Song 1:3; 6:8), so the birth of Isaiah’s own son (Isa. 8:3) could not have fully satisfied the prophecy.
[2] Immanuel. The title, applied to Jesus in Matt. 1:23, means “God with us.”

[3]  riding on a donkey. Unlike Alexander the Great, this King comes riding on a donkey (cf. Jer. 17:25). This was fulfilled at Christ’s triumphal entry (Matt. 21:1–5; John 12:12–16). The Jews should have been looking for someone from the line of David (cf. 2 Sam. 7; 1 Chr. 17). Four elements in this verse describe Messiah’s character: (1) He is King; (2) He is just; (3) He brings salvation; and (4) He is humble.

[4] Son of Man. The Messiah (cf. Dan. 9:26), Christ is meant; He often designated Himself by this phrase (Matt. 16:26; 19:28; 26:64). “The clouds of heaven” are seen again in Rev. 1:7. Here He is distinct from the Ancient of Days, or Eternal One, the Father, who will coronate Him for the kingdom (Dan. 2:44). The picture of old age is not that of being feeble, rather it highlights eternality and divine wisdom to judge (as in Dan. 7:9,10).

[5] Kiss the Son. This symbolic act would indicate allegiance and submission (cf. 1 Sam. 10:1; 1 Kin. 19:18). The word for “Son” here is not the Hebrew word for “son” that was used in Psalm 2:7, but rather its Aramaic counterpart (cf. Dan. 7:13), which is a term that would especially be suitable for these commands being addressed to “nations” (Ps. 2:1). The imagery fluidly moves from the lesser David through the Davidic dynasty to the Greater David—Jesus Christ.

jesus in the old 1

In the bible we have the ot and the nt.  Now if you read the lod there are things that point to the life of Jesus in the new.  The old was done 500 years before Jesus so anything in the old about Jesus has to be predicted by God or a higher power.  This is a major reason I know the bible is truly the words of God,  Our topic is the life of Jesus and the book is one perfect life from John Macarthur.  The next few sections are going to deal with this.  And yes we might not get to his life for a long time.

6. The Coming Messiah as Prophet and King
Gen. 49:10; Num. 24:17b; Pss. 2:11–12; 72:2; 89:3–4; 110:1;
Isa. 7:14; 9:6–7; 11:1; 42:1; 52:13; Jer. 23:5–6; Dan. 7:13–14;
Mic. 5:2; Zech. 9:9; Acts 3:22–23; 10:42b–43; Rom. 1:2–3

ACTS For Moses truly said to the fathers, “The Lord your God will raise up for you a [1]Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.”
In the first part of the bible Moses began talking about Jesus.  If you are not going to hear the things Jesus is going to save and reject Jesus your not going to make the cut to go into heaven and you will be cut from Jesus.  Jesus is a prophet too.

ISA The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
Jesus had the Spirit on him all his life and he gave the message of the Lord God (hr was God in the flesh)  At the Baptism of Jesus the Spirit did rest on him and I think this was where God began to use Jesus to share the bible.  I do not think he had powers until this time.  I do not think the Lord could like make thigs or heal until Jesus had the Sprit in him. (He was God from his birth but laid some of this aside)

PS He will judge Your people with righteousness, and Your poor with justice.
Jesus is one day going to judge all Gods people.  On the last day Jesus is going to decide who goes where and in what they will get heaven,  It’s a scarey thought to know every thought you ever thought is going to be in play.  If you think your going to do well on that day forget it.  Jesus wants perfection but also if your under Jesus blood all sins are gone.
GEN The [2]scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of the people. NUM A Star shall come out of Jacob; a Scepter shall rise out of Israel. ISA There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
Jesus Christ, Foretold—Jesus was a descendant of Judah (Lk 3:33). The triumphant Christ is called “the Lion of the tribe of Judah” (Rev 5:5). Shiloh (niv footnote) remains a common name used among Christians to remind us of His promised first coming and final coming.
Wish me luck.  Jesus  is in the line of hundreds of kings and the king of Israel.    Jesus is in the line of Jacob and in the family of David.  I think this is a way to ID Jesus as the Messiah and God placed Jesus right into a line so we know who to look for and I think all the ot is in play as we can study for years to see Jesus is exactly what the bible said to the t.
MIC “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.”
Jesus is going to be born in a place no one would ever think to look in a cow feeder.  So we look and see a baby in qa town where really nothing ever happened.  Like a king is born in a place that is unknown

[1] Prophet. This prophecy comes from Deut. 18:15. Moses was revered by the Jews as their first and greatest prophet, and the Jews viewed the prophet “like him” to refer to the Messiah.

[2] scepter shall not depart from Judah. As strong as a young lion and entrenched as an old lion, to Judah’s line belonged national prominence and kingship, including David, Solomon, and their dynasty (640 years after this), as well as “the one to whom the scepter belongs, “ i.e., Shiloh, the cryptogram for the Messiah, the one also called the “Lion of the Tribe of Judah” (Rev. 5:5).

abe 2

Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son—blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
If you Love the Lord you get blessed.  However it does not mean you are not going to suffer and maybe give your life.  Jesus your God gave his life I think you might have to give you’re life.  Abe did obey and his blessing was a whole nation is going to come out of it and Jesus is going to live and die to save the church.

GAL Now to Abraham and his [1]Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ. ACTS And all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold MT of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham—GAL till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made. ACTS You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

Jesus took the pentaly of all your sins and you can be freed.  But not all off you are going to get forgiven.  No not all are Gods kids.  If Jesus is not your lord you’re the son of the evil one.  Jesus forgave the ones who know and admit they are sinning and need Jesus.  All you do is to ask Jesus to forgive you and make him first in your life.

[1] Seed. The singular form of the Hebrew word, like its English and Greek counterparts, can be used in either an individual or a collective sense. Paul’s point in Gal. 3:16 is that in some OT passages (e.g., Gen. 3:15; 22:18), “seed” refers to the greatest of Abraham’s descendants, Jesus Christ.
