ps 3

The Lord Helps His Troubled People
A Psalm of David When He Fled from Absalom His Son.
1 Lord, how they have increased who trouble me!
Many are they who rise up against me.
2 Many are they who say of me,
There is no help for him in God.”
Selah
3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head.
4 I cried to the Lord with my voice,
And He heard me from His holy hill.

God is a Shield around me Jesus you protect me from the devil and you have beat the devil on the cross. On the cross you took all my guilt and forgave me sins. Jesus you are the one that takes my mood and lifts it. I can look to the world but in truth you lift it all. Jesus you hear me when I call to you and on your holy place you do not ignore me.
Selah
5 I lay down and slept;
I awoke, for the Lord sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people
Who have set themselves against me all around.

God is the one who cares for me when I am in any need. If I am in any need of help Jesus is there to care for me. I do not have to fear for the Lord has chosen me and has said he is going to carry me into his Heaven. He has a inheritance for me kept in heaven

7 Arise, O Lord;
Save me, O my God!
For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone;
You have broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongs to the Lord.
Your blessing is upon Your people.1

salvation is the great thing we have in Jesus alone
